Unbelievably, its within the confines of a Howard Johnson Inn, a few miles south of Indianapolis that I found within myself the necessary inspiration to make another blog post. I plugged my phone into my computer tonight for the first time in quite a while, and was entertained by the pictures that began uploading to my computer. So, I’ve chosen three pictures that seemed worthy of posting. And here they are…

This picture is from the Indianapolis Indians game I went too tonight. I can count the baseball games I’ve been too on one hand, but I have a good time when I do go, so I was pumped for the opportunity. This game didn’t disappoint. If anything, I suppose it was extraordinarily exciting due to the collective 16 runs of the night. A ticket to the game was 9 stones, and for that I was thankful. What I was not so pleased with were the 6 dollar beers and the 5 dollar hot dogs. Uncool…

This is the Jefferson Davis monument in Kentucky. We were driving through Kentucky on our way to Louisville a few days ago with some time to spare. We happened to notice a sign pointing us in this thing’s direction and decided to follow it. The biggest surprise was just how massive this hulking obelisk actually was. I’ve been to the Washington Monument once, and from what I recall, old JD’s monument stacks up pretty well. In addition to the monument, there was a little museum with some interesting stuff about the fellow. Sadly, due to time constraints we were unable to ride the elevator to the top. If you ever want to pay a visit to the Jefferson Davis monument just plug “absolute middle of nowhere” into your GPS. It should know what you’re talking about.

This picture of my beloved baby boy, Apollo, is a bit older, but a true gem of a picture and fully deserving of being included in this post. That chair is his all time favorite place to be. He’s cute. He’s a baby. I love him.
Well… this seems like an appropriate place to bring this post to an end. The end.

Perhaps blog updates won’t come as often as I anticipated. I’ve had a few sparks of blogworthy genius lately, but I tend to put them off, and then forget them entirely. But trust me… they were wildly smart. As many of you know, I’m a member of a little known, highly unsuccessful rock band called All In. After several years, many shows, and two chart-bottoming albums, the time has come though to bring All In to an end. Fortunately, before we wind it down, we have a handful of shows left at the end of June/beginning of July. This final endeavor will consist of shows in Birmingham, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Louisville, and Springfield. Our final out of town show will be at Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois. I’m thankful for the opportunity to go to Cornerstone one more time, but to be honest, I dread the heat. The last show I played at Cornerstone with All In was easily the best and most fun show we’ve ever played, so I’m sure it will be dandy. After that little tour, we will have one final show in Alabama.
I’m glad everyone can rest easy now that they are fully updated on my band. I would have written about something cooler, but I suppose that is the biggest thing happening to me in June. That’s enough for now.

Hey-o, everyone out there in SyberWorld. It’s old Chris coming at your again, here from my perch…
I’ve decided the time is right to blast myself into the blogosphere. I wasn’t sure how to best begin something like this, so I borrowed the first line from Creed Bratton’s blog. I’m pretty sure he has to be one of the foremost authorities on blogging. Regardless, I’m sure this blog will be super enlightening and fully reflective of my genius, so I encourage anyone and everyone to read it regularly. Maybe one day, so many people will read it that I will become a famous blogger. Then, I’ll have advertisements and become rich! So, I encourage everyone to visit often and make my dreams come true.
For anyone who looks at this and needs a catchup on me… I just graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in political science. I done a lot of living and learning over the past three years here. I’ve had a wonderful time and I’ve been blessed far beyond what I deserve. But, I’m beginning a new chapter now. My plan is to go to law school. I’ve decided I want to stay in Birmingham, so the only school I’ve applied to is Cumberland at Samford. I’m waiting to hear from them now. I’m not sure of my chances, because finishing the application process took far longer than I expected, and my application came late in the game. I have a few options aside from Cumberland, but if I don’t get in, I’ll most likely work for a year and then start at Cumberland next year. Either way, I’m in the process of moving back to Birmingham and I’m excited about it.
Ok, check this on the reg. I’ll do my best to not make it lame.
